Dr. Knapp has been practicing in Sarasota, FL, since 1985 since graduating Magna Cum Laude from Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis, MO. Before this, he was an undergraduate pre-medicine major at Bowling Green State University in Ohio. He is a Level 1 rehabilitation chiropractor by the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board, registered McKenzie, and KinesioTaping practitioner. He completed the ACA Post-Surgical Spinal Rehabilitation program. Dr. Knapp incorporated High Intensity Laser Therapy in his practice in 2006. He is a past guest faculty and Laser Therapy Research Consultant to the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine Department of Complementary and Integrative Medicine, Miami VA System Department of Rehabilitation, and Nova Southeastern University College of Health Care Sciences. He is a past research consultant to LiteCure LLC. Dr. Knapp is currently a laser safety officer for the Florida Chiropractic Association. He has published 3 papers on Class IV Laser Therapy and coauthored a laser therapy safety manual to be published in 2021. In 2013 Dr. Knapp was one of 300 U.S. chiropractors chosen to participate in the NIH-funded study Foundations of Evidence-Informed Practice through Northwestern Health Sciences University and the University of Pittsburgh.

He was awarded the 2010 Sarasota Natural Choice Award Favorite Chiropractic Physician, 2011, 2012, and 2014 Best Chiropractic Care and 2012 Man of the Year.
